Tonghua Jiangbei Bridge

Jiangbei Bridge, also known as the 12‑8 Bridge, was completed in 2021 with a total steel consumption of over 2,500 tons. Situated in Dongchang District, Tonghua City, Jilin Province, on the upper‑middle reach of the Hunjiang River, it serves as one of the vital north‑south urban corridors. The new bridge is designed on the original bridge site of Jiangbei Bridge. Its starting point is on the Jin’an Jiangdu side, connecting to Xinsheng Road, while its endpoint lies at the foot of Yuhuang Mountain beside PetroChina, linking to North Xinsheng Road. It crosses the Hunjiang River and forms grade‑separated interchanges with East Binjiang Road and West Binjiang Road. The bridge adopts a combination of conventional main‑body structure and decorative structure. The main structure uses prefabricated simply‑supported‑to‑continuous small box girders, while decorative arches are applied as the decorative component. This design balances construction economy and aesthetic effect. The design work mainly covers the decorative structures of the bridge.
