Benxi Taizi River Arch Cable-stayed Bridge

This arch cable-stayed bridge starts from Beidi Square on Jiefang Road, crossing the Shendan railway hub, Benxi Iron & Steel northern yard, South Binhe Road and Taizi River, and terminates at Xicai Road intersection on North Binhe Road. The whole route is 1037m long, with 866m of bridge structure. The main river-crossing span is about 300m. It adopts arch cable-stayed design with variable-section rectangular steel box pylons. The crescent inclined pylon is 65m high with a 145m main span and a 15° inclination angle. The elegant crescent tower reduces water resistance and improves flood discharge. Ramps are built on both river banks for vehicle access.
