Maojiadian Separated Overpass Bridge, Beijing-Harbin Expressway

The Maojiadian Separated Overpass Bridge (mainline underpass) at Chainage K0+352.457 of the reconstruction and expansion project for Maojiadian Mainline Toll Station on Beijing-Harbin Expressway is located on an alignment with a cross slope of 1.5%. The bridge span arrangement is (40+60+40) steel box girders. Segmental erection and welding with temporary supports are adopted as the construction method. The bridge crosses over the Maojiadian Mainline Toll Station of Beijing-Harbin Expressway, and the clearance height shall be no less than 5.5 m.

The inner and outer sprayed surfaces of the weathering steel box girders are treated with surface treatment liquid. Chemical components in the liquid react with the steel substrate to form a uniform, dense protective rust patina. This improves the aesthetic performance of weathering steel during service and prevents rust runoff from polluting the environment.
