The bridge starts at Beidi Square on Jiefang Road, rises onto the bridge west of the State Taxation Administration, spans the Shendan Railway Hub, the northern depot of Benxi Iron and Steel Group, South Binhe Road and the Taizi River, and terminates at the level intersection of Xicai Road on North Binhe Road. The total route length is 1,037 meters, among which the bridge itself stretches 866 meters. The main section crossing the Taizi River is approximately 300 meters long and adopts an arch cable-stayed bridge design. In this design, arch pylons are arranged outside the main bridge, with variable cross-section rectangular steel boxes for the cross-section. The total height of the pylon is 65 meters, the main span is 145 meters, and the inclination angle is 15 degrees. The cable pylon of the bridge features an inclined crescent shape. Its configuration not only meets the bridge width requirement but also delivers a magnificent visual effect. The design boasts advanced technology and elegant appearance. Thanks to its large span, the bridge can effectively reduce water flow resistance, which greatly benefits the flood discharge of the Taizi River. Ramps are constructed on both South and North Binhe Roads, allowing vehicles to access the new bridge. Based on local traffic conditions in the city, the Beidi River-Crossing and Overpass Bridge is designed with a width of 21.5 meters. 2.5-meter-wide pedestrian walkways are built on both sides of the roadway. The bridge carries four lanes in two directions, with a design speed of 60 km/h and a service life of 100 years.
