On April 30, 2026, a delegation from the Kewatkhali Bridge project in Bangladesh paid an inspection and visit to Shenyang Zhongda Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. The two sides conducted in-depth exchanges on the steel structure fabrication, on-site installation, quality control and project implementation of the bridge, striving to deliver tangible results for infrastructure cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative.

Located in Mymensingh in northern Bangladesh, the Kewatkhali Bridge spans the Brahmaputra River. With a total investment of approximately 32.6 billion Bangladeshi Taka (equivalent to about 380 million US dollars), the project is jointly undertaken by China State Construction Engineering Corporation and Bangladeshi firm Spectra Engineers as a consortium. As a vital local transportation hub, it is of great significance to improving the regional road network and driving economic development.

During the inspection, the project delegation visited the company’s production workshops, processing plants and assembly sites. They conducted on-site inspections of the entire process including steel component prefabrication, welding procedures, anti-corrosion treatment and finished product inspection, and gained a detailed understanding of the company’s technical strength and project experience in the fabrication, installation and precision control of large-scale bridge steel structures as well as construction organization.
