Zhongda Steel Structure Craftsman Builds Benchmark Project - Shenyang Wangjiawan Ice Sports Center Speed Skating Rink Construction Accelerates Again

Recently, the Shenyang Wangjiawan Ice Sports Center Speed Skating Rink project, in which our subsidiary Shenyang Zhongda Steel Structure Engineering Co., Ltd. has been deeply involved in production and installation, has achieved successive breakthroughs at key construction milestones with its exquisite craftsmanship and efficient progress, becoming a vivid model of technological innovation and engineering strength in the steel structure industry. As a core venue for Liaoning Province's bid to host the 2028 National Winter Games, the Shenyang Wangjiawan Ice Sports Center Speed Skating Rink is located in the Wangjiawan area, a core development zone of the city. The project commenced construction on November 16, 2024, and has now smoothly entered the steel column construction phase, with full completion and delivery scheduled for December 2026.
During the main project construction process, our company has fully leveraged its technical advantages and construction experience in the steel structure field, successfully overcoming multiple industry challenges. On May 12, 2025, the first steel column of the speed skating rink was successfully hoisted by our professional installation team, marking the project's official entry into a new phase of main structure construction; on June 6, a major technological breakthrough was achieved—the trial assembly of the domestically first-of-its-kind "steel-timber-cable" composite structure steel-timber roof truss was successfully completed. This roof structure adopts a large-span tensioned timber-steel arch frame composite system, consisting of 20 composite trusses spaced 9 meters apart, with a north-south span of 102 meters and an east-west span of 195 meters. The complex structural system imposes extremely high requirements on the production precision and installation craftsmanship of steel structures. Through innovative technologies and refined management, our company has successfully achieved millimeter-level precise connection of components, providing a replicable technical solution for similar engineering constructions. As of June 29, steel column installation work at the speed skating rink is progressing intensively, with a bustling construction scene at the site.
